Definitively, remove spacer or NOT ?

I will spend some time this week end to maintain my
92 savage.
I don't no if i must or not remove the spacer.
I spend time on this formun to have some response
about this question but the opinion was divided.
Definitively, what is the best argument to remove or
keep the famius white space ?
